Hi all!
I stubbled across a name for a winged scarab (wings out-streched rather than curved up holding the aten) that was different from Kheper or any of the normal forms (Khepri, Khepera, etc.). Does anyone know of any differing names for Kheper. Perhaps more ancient like Thoth (Greek/Coptic) verses Tehuty/Djehuty (Egyptian). Or is it a different God all together when the wings are out-streched?
Thanks!

Re: Save me some research?
Fri, September 9, 2005 - 11:29 AMI'm pretty sure that's still Kheper, but I'll look into it over the weekend. If I'm wrong, I probably won't be able to post differently till Monday at the earliest. -

I like this image more then the Aten with wings (means a little more to me, but I see the connection between Kheper and the Aten) and want to make sure it's Kheper before I use it. -

Re: Save me some research?
Fri, September 9, 2005 - 6:19 PMThat is actually the image I am most familiar with. That's Kheper, the one who brings the sun up each morning.
If it was me, I'd still research it. But that's just me. I research everything :)
